ASSSSCAT: Paul F. Tompkins monologue and improv scene
My two favorite things doing my two favorite things!
Largo at the Coronet just announced a show this Wednesday with Doug Benson & Zach Galifianakis! And I got tickets!
So, we just returned from a vacation in Seattle. I decided that when I returned I would become a dietary vegan. Seattle has great restaurants. (Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE meat!) But, I am overweight and almost 40 and have a beautiful wife and daughter who I want to see grow into a woman.
Before I left, I ordered Forks over Knives and planned to make a gradual change. I switched to soy milk a week ago. Anyway, today, Pam, my wife surprised me with dinner at Green Earth Vegan Cuisine in Pasadena. Great food! I had the Fajita Vegana and it was amazing.
Tomorrow we are off to Trader Joe’s to shop for the week.
Saw Red State followed by a Q&A with Kevin Smith. He has always been an inspiration. That coupled with how disappointing events at work have been lately have motivated me to start writing. I have written 2 screenplays, 1 produced and it has always been my passion. But with my ADD/procrastination it is always on the back burner. Don’t get me wrong, I love being a teacher but I need to branch out creatively, I am signing up for Improv class at UCB in September and am excited about that. Anyway, I got up this morning and wrote the first to pages of my new screenplay.
Went to see Red State at the New Beverly Cinema and Q&A tonight! Great flick. A total departure for Smith.
3 days until Red State at Quentin Tarantino’s New Beverly Cinema!
THE HOLD STEADY “How A Resurrection Really Feels”
These parties they start lovely but they get druggy and they get ugly and they get bloody.
